William Dooley, Jr.

Bill Dooley was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois having received his undergraduate degree from Northern Illinois University. He received a mid-career law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in 1992.

Bill came to Minnesota in 1978 as he continued to pursue his career in the insurance industry. Bill served as a long-time employee of American Family Insurance and took early retirement in 2004.  While at American Family Insurance, he worked in their underwriting, claims and legal departments and finished his career as a government affairs counsel. In 2006 he re-entered the workforce and currently works as a case coordinator for Volunteer Lawyers Network, a local nonprofit.

From 2005-2008 Bill served on the Ethical Practices Board for the City of Minneapolis. He now serves on the Ethics Committee of the Hennepin County Bar Association as a Non-Attorney Investigator.

Bill is married and has two grown daughters.
